Idaho lawmakers recently passed a $50 million program that uses tax dollars to fund private school tuition. Some lawmakers want to see the program expanded to $339 million a year, amounting to over $3 billion in taxpayer funds over the next decade.
Join Save Our Schools Idaho on April 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fremont Middle School Cafeteria for a Town Hall discussion about the impacts of expanding this program.
The Town Hall will be moderated by Alicia Purdy, western regional chair of the NEA Republican Educators Caucus and IEA Region 8 Representative. Panelists will include Alexis Morgan, President of the Idaho PTA, Kim Nixon, Kuna School Board Trustee, and Kelee Robinson, teacher at Kuna High School.
Attendees can submit questions for our panelists ahead of time or at the event. This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to let us know you can make it.
*The leaders and elected officials serving as panelists will speak only on their own behalf and not on behalf of their districts or their organizations. Event locations are gathering places, not sponsors or demonstrating support of views express during the Town Halls.
