OHIO’S “EDUCATIONAL CHOICE” VOUCHER PROGRAM

In 2005, lawmakers approved a budget allowing 3,000 low-income students to use vouchers at a cost of $5 million. By 2023, the voucher program had eliminated income requirements and ballooned to  cost Ohio taxpayers $628 million in private tuition subsidies. (Source)
